Process Project Manager for food, feed and chemical industries

Job summary
Based in our headquarters in Zaventem, you will oversee the overall execution of our industrial projects in Europe, Middle East, and Africa. Our projects, varying in size between 200k to 40 million €, involve engineering, manufacturing, supply, up to the supervision of the installation and commissioning of the plant, and in some cases including turnkey site works.
Key accountabilities
- Act as central contact point between the client and all the internal departments as well as external vendors and subcontractors.
- Coordinate and lead all people involved to reach the common goal of a successful, profitable project for all parties within the agreed deadline and to our quality standards.
- Manage multiple projects in various regions of EMEA.
- Travel (up to max. 20%) to clients, suppliers and group companies and take part in pre-sales negotiation meetings with client.
- Organize & lead all project interface meetings from project signature until successful start-up.
- Gather technical specifications from engineering departments, approving the specifications and drawings.
- Send price inquiries to suppliers, filtering technically & commercially the quotations before finalizing purchase orders - in coordination with our purchasing department.
- Prepare and update project planning and project progress reports.
- Take control of project budget as sold and monitor the latest forecast revisions (material, hours & expenses)
- Handle any commercial, legal, logistics issues with the client and guardian of our contractual obligations.
Exigences
Required profile
- Master’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Bio, Mechanical or Industrial)
- Ideally 3 to 5 years’ experience as Project Manager, ideally in an EP environment
- Fluent knowledge of English, French and/or Dutch (any other language is an asset)
- Excellent communication skills in an international, multi-cultural and multi-discipline environment is a must, combined with real interest and understanding of industrial technologies
- Excellent interpersonal skills - strong team management capabilities
- Self-driven and hands-on mentality
- Team player
- Technical and administrative accuracy
- Good organisational skills and pro-active approach
- IT literate (MS Office, Outlook, ERP, CAD viewing, MS Projects, other planning tools)
